The youngsters at Pentland Primary are using garden furniture made from recycled construction materials.
Regeneration specialist Lovell, Dunedin Canmore Housing Association and the Edinburgh branch of Action for Employment helped create the furniture.
Donated by the PTA, the outdoor learning area is used for various different activities and is home to a gardening club.
